On the online platform Google Arts & Culture, which provides access to museum works of art from around the world, a space about Ukrainian culture called "Ukraine is Here" has appeared, which was developed with the support of First Lady Olena Zelenska. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.

The new collection on the Google Arts & Culture platform allows you to get acquainted with Ukrainian traditions, cultural heritage, heroic pages of the past and present. Here, foreigners will be able to discover a country that they knew very little about, and Ukrainians will be able to fall in love with their homeland again. All materials are available in English.

With the help of augmented reality technology, you can view more than 40 3D models of Ukrainian architecture on the platform, including St. Sophia Cathedral, Palanok Castle and the National Opera of Ukraine. Objects damaged or destroyed by Russian invaders are also available on the platform. For example, the bell tower of the Assumption Cathedral in Kharkiv.

"Ukraine is near" is a joint project of Google and the Ministry of Culture. 10 partners joined its creation. Among them: the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the National Center of Folk Culture "Ivan Honchar Museum", the Museum of Theater, Music and Film Arts, state agencies.

"From now on, people from different countries will be able to explore authentic and interactive stories about Ukrainian culture, visit virtual tours and get acquainted with the most iconic works of Ukrainian artists", - the Ministry of Culture said.

A guide to the "pearls of Kyiv" with unique modern estates of the capital or monuments included in the UNESCO world heritage list is already available on the platform. Also, here you can learn about the history of the Ukrainian sunflower, which has been grown in Ukraine since the middle of the 18th century.

"New opportunities to tell about Ukrainian culture in a large-scale, interesting and modern digital language, as it is done on the Google Arts & Culture platform, is another of our joint victories", - emphasized Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko.

We will remind you! Earlier we wrote that 50 Ukrainian-language audio guides appeared in 32 countries of the world. These are 50 places of extraordinary cultural and historical significance, which were sounded in the Ukrainian language. More details at the link.
