Nyzhankovychi - Malhowice checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Polish border: details
Poland is building a checkpoint called "Nyzhankovychi - Malhowice" on the border with Ukraine.
As you know, since February 2023, the checkpoint has been operating in a temporary mode, but it is planned to be permanently put into operation from the beginning of 2024.
Currently, there is a modular building with a concrete road at the Nyzhankovychi - Malhowice checkpoint, which is intended only for trucks.

Who will be able to use the new checkpoint?
On the Polish side, it is also planned to create a checkpoint where trucks weighing up to 7.5 tons will be able to pass. Such checkpoints will be especially useful for exporters of meat, dairy products, and electronics.
The construction of the new checkpoint is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2023, and the first quarter of 2024 will see the start of vehicle traffic.
It is noted that Ukraine is negotiating the construction of new checkpoints on the border with Poland.
In particular, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Serhiy Derkach said: "We have some potential locations where we can consider building checkpoints, but first we have to analyze the costs, potential benefits in terms of cargo and passenger traffic. If new checkpoints are opened, they will probably be small and designed for passenger traffic".
We remind you! Earlier, we wrote that Ukraine is launching an electronic queue that will work for any vehicle at 16 border crossing points. Read more about how to download the eCherha app to use the system in our article here.
