Price increase for Ukrainian students in the Netherlands: details
In 2022, Ukrainian students enrolled in universities and colleges in the Netherlands paid a reduced tuition fee. The price of a course in educational institutions for Ukrainians was the same as for Dutch citizens, namely 2,209 euros.
Interestingly, these benefits were not a government initiative, so higher education institutions did not receive any compensation for the reduced tuition fees for Ukrainians. It is precisely because a large number of colleges and universities can no longer afford such costs that it is planned to cancel the benefits for students from Ukraine.
Starting from next year, Ukrainians in the Netherlands will be paying the full price for their studies, just like students from non-EU countries. From now on, the cost of the course will range from €10,000 to €15,000 per year.
It is noted that the tuition price for Ukrainians enrolled in educational institutions in the Netherlands in 2022 will remain preferential, which will allow students to complete their studies at a reduced cost.

However, some educational institutions in the Netherlands have decided to extend the preferential programme for Ukrainian students. TU Eindhoven is one of the universities where Ukrainians will continue to pay reduced tuition fees on a par with the Dutch.
Just to remind you. The Netherlands gives Ukrainians the right to visit their home country under protection. But for a limited period of time. Read how to avoid losing temporary protection in the Netherlands when travelling to Ukraine here.
