eCherha for passenger buses and cars will start operating in Ukraine on August 1
Starting from August 1, cars and passenger vehicles will be able to cross the border with Poland using the eCherha service. Find out more about how to sign up for the electronic queue online
Starting from August 1, cars and passenger vehicles will be able to cross the border in an electronic queue in Ukraine. Here's a look at where the service will be launched and how it will affect the flow of cars crossing the border.
On July 28, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to extend the eCherha service to cars and passenger vehicles. Previously, the electronic queue was intended only for trucks.
Where will the service be launched and what will change for citizens?
According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, the decision to expand the eCherha service to cars and passenger vehicles will reduce the queue at the border and make the crossing more comfortable.
According to State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety, the service for buses is to be launched in test mode on August 1 at the Yahodyn-Dorohusk International Automobile Checkpoint.
Motorists can sign up for the electronic queue at echerha.gov.ua. The registration starts on July 31.

How can a bus driver sign up for the e-queue?
- Go to the website. Click "Join the queue";
- select "Bus" and click "Join the queue";
- select the checkpoint "Yahodyn - Dorohusk. For buses";
- fill in the driver's data, bus data;
- check all the entered data and confirm your action;
- the bus driver may extend the queue once every 4, 6, 8 or 10 hours if he/she needs more time to travel;
- arrive at the checkpoint at the specified time, pass the inspection and cross the border.
It is worth noting that the data about the driver or vehicle can be changed once. In this case, your place in the queue will be saved.
In May 2023, it became known that the electronic border crossing queue was to be launched at 16 checkpoints. Since the end of last year, the system has been successfully tested at two checkpoints. The electronic queue will now be available to all drivers crossing the border.
