Table of contents
Everyone should remember the heroic struggle of Ukrainians facing the terror of russia: Holodomor, deportations, wars. The people of Ukraine are an example of unyielding strength and hope in the face of tragedy. Learn more about how Ukrainians have endured and continue to endure terror that even the worst enemy would not wish on their worst enemy
Every year, on August 21, the world comes together to remember those who have been victims of terrorism. This day reminds us that no nation is immune to brutal acts of violence, and at the same time serves as a moment of unity on the path to peace and security for all. On this day, it is especially relevant to remember Ukraine, a country that has become a symbol of resilience and resistance in the fight against terrorism by russia for many years.
Ukrainian history is filled with moments of terrible trials caused by aggression and terrorism. We are telling you about the most terrible events brought to Ukraine by our neighboring country.
One of the darkest periods in the history of the Ukrainian people is the Holodomor, which the Kremlin's communist terrorism deliberately brought to the land of Ukraine. In 1921-1923 and in 1932-1933, a deliberately created artificial famine took the lives of millions of innocent Ukrainians. This act of cruelty remains in the memory as a blatant example of how terrorism can take many forms.
The most brutal deportations in Ukraine
Crimea, a historical region of Ukraine, fell victim to one of the darkest pages of history - the deportation of peoples. In 1944, with the arrival of the Soviet army in Crimea, thousands of Tatars, Greeks, Armenians, and other ethnic groups were brutally expelled from their homes and sent to distant and inhospitable regions of the Soviet Union. It was an act of violence and torture against innocent people that changed their fates forever.
In addition, with the outbreak of the war in Donbas in 2014, russia not only sent troops to eastern Ukraine, but also created a situation that forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee their homes due to threats of violence and instability. Ethnic cleansing and mass deportations became part of a brutal strategy aimed at destabilizing the region.
As early as 2022, after russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, deportations became a tool for russians to force Ukrainian citizens to obey the terrorist government. In addition, russians have illegally transferred tens of thousands of Ukrainian children to their territory and placed them in camps for "re-education," where they continue to abuse the younger generation of Ukraine.

Mass murder of Ukrainians
In fact, it is impossible to count how much suffering russia has brought to Ukraine, how many missiles have been fired at peaceful cities and at peaceful homes where ordinary citizens dreaming of a carefree and peaceful life lived.
In just one and a half years of full-scale war in Ukraine, according to official figures, tens of thousands of civilians, including more than a thousand children, have been killed. The death toll is likely much higher than the official reports indicate, as russians carry out mass graves on Ukrainian territory without identifying the dead.
The horror that russia has been and continues to unleash in Ukraine is causing deep wounds in the hearts of millions of people. These events remind us of the importance of fighting for human rights, adherence to international norms and values of peace.
We must not forget about those who suffered from this cruelty and strive to ensure that such horrific events never happen again. And those responsible for these victims must face the most severe punishment!
