According to Mariana Oleskiv, head of the State Agency for Tourism, one of the world's largest accommodation and experience booking platforms, Airbnb has been committed to supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
"Now Airbnb will help in the post-war recovery of Ukraine's tourism industry. We will work together to popularize our country as a tourist destination! We are also talking about Crimea, as soon as our beloved Armed Forces de-occupy it," Oleskiv emphasized.
When planning a trip to Ukraine, take care of your own safety and protect yourself from unforeseen expenses. In order to feel as calm as possible and not worry about unplanned expenses under martial law, you need to take care of purchasing proper insurance covering military risks.
The head of DART is confident that when air travel resumes and becomes safe, Ukraine will undoubtedly become one of the leading tourist destinations in Europe, especially for countries that support the country in its desperate struggle for independence.
"Airbnb expresses its readiness to become our reliable partner, which will spread the attractiveness of Ukraine among its millions of users, as well as share data from the platform with us. And the first step has been taken - Lviv Tourism Office has already started receiving data from the platform," added the head of the State Tourism Agency.
Mariana Oleskiv also expressed her gratitude to Nathan Blecharczyk, co-founder and chief strategic officer of Airbnb, for supporting Ukrainians during the war.
"He is one of those who helped the company find free temporary housing around the world for 130,000 Ukrainians who were forced to leave their country, and continues to provide ongoing support to Ukraine," she reminded.
