Results of Visit Ukraine 2023: supporting Ukraine, Ukrainians and foreigners throughout the year
Throughout 2023, Visit Ukraine has been actively providing assistance to everyone in need. Our team has been working around the clock and seven days a week to make your travels around Ukraine and the world comfortable and safe. And this year has brought many positive results. Here are our achievements and projects aimed at supporting, developing and helping
2023 was a testament to the fact that even in times of war, we are able not only to survive, but also to move forward and develop. Thus, by helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine and continuing to provide round-the-clock support to Ukrainians in Ukraine and abroad, as well as to foreigners traveling to Ukraine, the Visit Ukraine team was able not only to improve the service but also to make a significant contribution to the development of domestic tourism, which is undoubtedly a significant component of the stability of the Ukrainian economy.
Online assistance to Ukrainians and foreigners
Every day, our hotline receives dozens of letters and phone calls from Ukrainians and foreigners from more than 20 countries seeking information on entering and leaving Ukraine.
Thus, in 2023, we helped more than 20,000 thousand people, including more than 5.5 thousand foreigners who visited Ukraine, with up-to-date information on the rules for crossing the Ukrainian border, as well as advice on evacuation, social, humanitarian, financial assistance and other important issues, how to act in a critical situation and travel safely in Ukraine.
In addition, in 2023, we updated daily information on the rules of entry to 200 countries for tourism, employment, education, and migration in country cards, where hundreds of thousands of users were able to get answers to all their questions.
More than 9.5 million users received up-to-date information on our website. We also provided over 100 hours of legal advice to more than 130 citizens, including Ukrainians from 40 countries and foreigners from 20 countries.
Charitable activities of Visit Ukraine
In 2023, Visit Ukraine closed dozens of collections to help the military and animals affected by the russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. The total amount of donations we raised thanks to you is over UAH 358 thousand.
Thanks to your help, we have:
▶ sent hundreds of medical kits to the military
▶ repaired dozens of vehicles that help soldiers at the forefront
▶ provided food and medicine to hundreds of animals in several shelters and even found homes for some of them in Ukraine and abroad;
▶ shipped more than 1,100 pieces of patriotic merchandise to 28 countries, with the proceeds going to support Ukrainian military and civilians, as well as animals affected by the war.

Development of tourism in Ukraine
Last year, Visit Ukraine created the largest tour bank in Ukraine, which collected more than 200 different tours. Today, this bank already includes more than 800 relevant and, most importantly, safe tours in Ukraine. At the same time, we offer tours not only in Ukrainian but also in English, Polish, German, and Spanish.
Thus, in 2023, foreigners from 15 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Latvia, and Australia, visited at least 21 cities in Ukraine with Visit Ukraine.
It is also important that this year our team, together with our partners, launched a unique charity project - Donation Tours to Ukraine. As part of this initiative, foreigners from all over the world can make a personal contribution to supporting Ukrainians and rebuilding the country and visit the de-occupied cities of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions as a volunteer.
Victories and development of the Visit Ukraine project
The year 2023 was not easy, but very fruitful for our further development. Thus, the Visit Ukraine project:
1. Became the winner of the GLOBAL100 Reputation Awards international business award
2. Took part in the most influential international exhibition WTM in London
3. Was a media partner of Departure Summit 2023
4. Took part in the ITB Berlin 2023 tourism exhibition
