On Friday, October 7, the Law of Ukraine on supporting the national musical product and restricting the public use of the musical product of the aggressor state (2310-IX) will enter into force. This was reported by the Humanitarian and Information Policy Committee.
In particular, from October 7, "acoustic violence" in passenger transport is prohibited. Drivers of regular passenger buses and minibuses are prohibited from "playing music, movie sounds or other sound signals in the bus cabin, except for information about the trip".
The ban applies to both city transport and suburban, intercity, international routes.
The sound of music or movies can be streamed to passengers' individual headphones. The noise ban applies not only to drivers, but also to passengers: the driver has the right to drop off those who violate the silence.
During non-regular transportation, as well as in a taxi, it is possible to broadcast music in the cabin with the consent of all passengers.
It is emphasized that the Law also instructs the Government to introduce regulations on the prohibition of acoustic violence into the rules of transportation on all types of passenger transport.
The habit of many bus and minibus drivers to turn on intrusive music during passenger flights has more than once become the cause of conflicts with passengers.
In addition, the same law prohibits the public reproduction of phonograms, videograms or clips of Russian singers from October 7.
