The Play ski resort is located on the Kyiv-Chop international highway in the Skole district of Lviv region. The village of Plavie (so named because the forest was floated here) and the Plai mountain range, which is 600 metres above sea level, are located very close by. The resort offers ski slopes of all difficulty levels: 3 red (medium difficulty), 2 blue (for beginners) and several black (difficult, for professionals). The longest lift is 1200 m long and has a height difference of 260 m. We have gathered detailed information about one of the most popular resorts in Lviv region, its history and interesting locations in this article.

When did the Play ski resort start operating?

In 2006, the first cable car was built here, and with it the ski resort ‘Play’ - a ski rental centre and ticket offices were set up. The first ski season at Play took place in the winter of 2006-2007. In 2007, we built a 400-metre-long drag lift for beginners. In December 2009, the construction of the resort was completed, and since then its popularity has only grown.

What can be visited at the ski resort ‘Play’?

The resort offers ski lifts and spas, as well as cultural enrichment facilities and excursion routes.

"Colourful Journeys in Slavske

The 24-hour complex in Slavske offers a wellness tub and sauna. The tub with a contrasting pool is designed for 6 people. The wood-fired sauna with a contrasting pool is designed for 10 people.

The wooden church of St Michael in Plavia village

The church that was on the site of the current one is mentioned in the chronicles of the 18th century, but it is too difficult to find even on maps. The wooden church was built by a local carpenter Petro Skilskyi in 1888. Throughout the period of its existence, the church was reconstructed several times, and its modern appearance was given in the 90s of the last century. Today, the architectural value of the church is not inferior to the cultural and ethnographic value. It is here that the priest says the litany only in the Church Slavonic language.
