The style of construction of this noble residence is neo-romantic, combining Gothic and Romanesque motifs. The peculiarity of the palace is that it has 12 entrances (the number of months in a year), 52 rooms (the number of weeks in a year) and according to the number of days in a year, the palace has 365 windows. The magnificent palace garden impresses with rare species of trees planted around a decorative lake. Today, the Schönborn Palace is home to the Karpaty sanatorium.

After a short drive, we get to the Mukachevo Palanok Castle, which is located on a 68-meter-high volcanic mountain. The castle was first mentioned in documents in the XI century, but its current appearance was formed in the XIV-XVII centuries. Palanok Castle has witnessed and participated in many historical events. In addition to the castle, Mukachevo is also worth seeing: The Town Hall (1904), St. Martin's Church (1904) with the Gothic Chapel of St. Joseph (XIV century), the Palace of the Rakoczy Princes (1667), etc.

Then we moved almost to the Hungarian border, namely to the city of Berehove. This almost thousand-year-old city, the majority of the population of which is Hungarian, is famous for its healing thermal waters. In addition to swimming in the thermal water pool and tasting local wines, we invite you to explore the sights of the historic center of Berehove. For example, the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (1370), the Church of the Reformers (1775), the Palace of the Comitatus Court (1909), the Palace of the Betlen Princes (1629), the Casino (1912).
