No matter where you approach Mukachevo, tens of kilometers away, on a lonely peaked hill, like a magnet, the Palanok Mukachevo castle (XIV century) covered with legends and military glory attracts your attention. The castle was built by the Russian prince Fyodor Koryatovich and turned it into his residence. The castle walls remember their defender Ilona Zrini, who showed miracles of courage and heroism in the defense of the castle.
