Do Ukrainians need a visa to enter Denmark?
No, Ukrainian citizens do not need a visa to enter Denmark for tourist purposes. They can stay in the country for up to 90 days within 180 days from the date of first entry.
Are there any special entry conditions for Ukrainians in Denmark?
Citizens of Ukraine in Denmark have the right to apply for temporary protection status, on the basis of which refugees receive a residence permit, employment and social assistance.

What documents are needed to travel to Denmark from Ukraine?
To travel to Denmark, Ukrainians will need:
- Biometric passport.
As a citizen of Ukraine, you must have a biometric passport issued after January 12, 2015 to stay without a visa.
If you have a passport issued before January 12, 2015, your passport is not biometric and therefore you must have a visa to enter Denmark.
The passport or travel document must be valid for at least 3 months after the planned date of departure from the Schengen area and issued within the last 10 years.
- Health insurance with coverage of at least 30,000 euros and valid for the entire period of your stay in the Schengen area
- Documents confirming the purpose of the trip: it can be a visit to friends/family, hotel reservation, invitation from a business partner, etc.
- Proof of financial solvency. To get started, you should have about 350 DKK per day. If you are staying in a hotel, the amount should be higher, usually around 500 DKK per day.
What documents do I need to travel with my children to Denmark?
Children under 16 years of age traveling with their parents must have a passport or birth certificate (if they do not have a passport). They can cross the border with one parent without the need to obtain official permission from the other.
If the child is traveling with relatives or friends, he or she needs to have a notarized travel permit from one of the parents.
Do I need a Green Card to travel by car to Denmark now?
Yes, a Green Card is required for everyone who travels abroad by car, including refugees.
