Ukrainian-language information portal for people who came to the Netherlands from Ukraine because of the war. For temporary confirmation of identity (in the absence of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine to travel abroad), you can send a statement to the consul in advance
online.
It is now possible to register your person in the Dutch Unified Register of Persons (BRP) and obtain the corresponding Dutch Resident Identification Number (BSN). This BSN will become your actual communication number with the Kingdom of the Netherlands for further assistance (eg school for children, health insurance, etc.). The condition of registration is the possibility for the municipality to identify a person on the basis of a passport or other document confirming the identity and belonging to the citizenship of Ukraine. Minors who arrived with their family, but without an identity document, will also be registered by the municipality, based on the application of the parents (subject to confirmation of the family connection).
More information can be found at
the link and by contacting the relevant municipality (Gemeente) of the region of the Netherlands where you are located at the moment.
Ukrainians who have registered in the Netherlands under the Temporary Protection Directive and received the BSN code in the municipality can apply for residence in the Kingdom of the Netherlands through the Dutch Migration Service IND.
The Ukrainian community has created an information
site to help Ukrainians.
On the site you can find information on:
- Accommodation
- Registration
- Legal issues
- Medical services
- Schools and kindergartens
- Other issues
There is also a hotline for coordination and assistance to Ukrainians:
[email protected]; +31 102005661 (from 9.00 to 18.00)
To the attention of temporarily displaced persons from Ukraine who arrived in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
After registering in the Dutch General Register of Persons - Basisregistratie Personen (BRP) and receiving your BSN number, all the necessary authorities of the Dutch government will automatically have access to process your data. This also applies to the Migration Service of the Netherlands - Immigratie en Naturalisatie Dients (IND).
Next, you will have to take the following steps to regulate your status in the Netherlands. You will also need to submit an "Application for Residency" through the IND. This form is known by the Migration Service as M35h. In this way, the Dutch Migration Service IND will be able to make sure that you do not pose a danger to public order in the Netherlands and, on this basis, will be able to provide you with proof that you are allowed to live and work in the Netherlands. For more information and updates from IND, visit the
website.
If you have received a confirmation of temporary protection status from the Migration Service (IND) (a sticker in your passport or a separate card), you can travel for a maximum of 28 days to another country and return to maintain your temporary protection status and social benefits.
You must also notify the municipality of your temporary departure and its duration before you leave. If you decide to leave without notice, the municipality has the right to withdraw all social guarantees provided to you (a place in a reception center, housing allowance, etc.). This happens from the date when it is established that you left without notice.
Important! If your stay exceeds 14 days and in case of high occupancy rate, the municipality reserves the right to transfer the shelter to someone else. When you return, you can get accommodation in another reception center or municipality.
