Netherlands Temporary protection

Temporary protection in the Netherlands, registration in BRP and obtaining BSN code
Temporary departure from the Netherlands
If you have received a confirmation of temporary protection status from the Migration Service (IND) (a sticker in your passport or a separate card), you can travel for a maximum of 28 days to another country and return to maintain your temporary protection status and social benefits.
You must also notify the municipality of your temporary departure and its duration before you leave. If you decide to leave without notice, the municipality has the right to withdraw all social guarantees provided to you (a place in a reception center, housing allowance, etc.). This happens from the date when it is established that you left without notice.
Important! If your stay exceeds 14 days and in case of high occupancy rate, the municipality reserves the right to transfer the shelter to someone else. When you return, you can get accommodation in another reception center or municipality.
