In 2023, Ukrainians with a Pole's card (Karta Polaka) will be able to receive financial assistance to cover living expenses.

Peculiarities of issuing financial assistance in Poland in 2023

Applications of foreigners who submitted the first package of documents for receiving payments within 3 months from the date of issuance of a permanent residence permit in Poland are accepted for consideration.

Together with the owner of the Pole's card, his husband or wife and minor children will be able to receive payments, but under the condition that the family lives together. It is worth noting that the applicant's family members do not necessarily have a Pole's card.

Only the owner of the Pole's card can submit an application for financial assistance. Documents are accepted by the Department for Foreigners (Uzhond Voivodeship) at the place of residence.

The amount of payments to holders of the Pole's Card in 2023

Cash assistance will be paid over 9 months:

• The first three months - one adult will receive 50% of the amount of the minimum wage established in Poland. From January 2023, the minimum wage is PLN 3,490. That is, the applicant can count on the amount of PLN 1,745 per month.

• From the fourth month, the amount of payments will change and will be 60% of the monthly amount of payments in the previous three months. That is, from the fourth to the ninth month, the applicant will receive PLN 1,047 per adult.

• Children who are entitled to payments receive money according to the same scheme as adults, but the amount is half as much: PLN 872.50 (first-third month) and PLN 523.50 (fourth-ninth month), respectively.

Importantly! If a child has his own issued Pole's Card, he can submit a separate application and receive payments on the same level as adults.

From July 1, 2023, the amount of the minimum wage in Poland will increase to 3,600 zlotys, and the amount of payments will increase accordingly.
