How Ukraine's counteroffensive is progressing: Deepstate map review, liberated territories, important victories at the front
In recent weeks, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have liberated more territories than russia seized in 2023. Find out what's happening on the front lines, where the Ukrainian army has made the most progress, and what victories we can already talk about on the front
Earlier it became known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces seized the strategic initiative and began advancing in almost all areas of the front. According to the latest reports from the General Staff of Ukraine, today the Ukrainian army has not only advanced in the east and south of the country, but also took fire control of Bakhmut, occupying the most important high points, thereby blocking the russian troops' paths for maneuvers and retreat. So, what does the map of the fighting look like today?
Advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: liberated territories and consolidation on new frontiers
The Ukrainian army continues to advance on the Bakhmut, Melitopol and Berdiansk directions. The total area of liberated territories in these areas of the front exceeds 190 square kilometers.
However, the success lies not only in the number of de-occupied kilometers, but also in the targeted and intensive destruction of the occupiers' ammunition depots, which allowed to create the basis for further offensive and reduce the number of attacks by the russian army. In the last two weeks alone, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed more than 20 ammunition depots in Kherson, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. Command posts of the russian army are also under targeted fire.
In addition, despite the fact that the initiative is on the side of Ukraine, the occupiers are suffering enormous losses, which are many times higher than those of the Ukrainian side, and are trying to pull up manpower and old Soviet equipment to hold on to at least some positions.

Bakhmut: russian troops are trapped
The occupiers are trying to gain a foothold in the city, in particular, by deploying about 50,000 troops to the Bakhmut direction. However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are systematically driving them out of their positions, as the Ukrainian army has taken fire control of all enemy movements by occupying strategically important heights. In addition, the occupation forces cannot even leave the city, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces control all the "exits and entrances".

Strikes on the Crimean bridge: what is known
The de-occupation of the southern part of Ukraine is directly related to the Crimean bridge, as the destruction of this logistics route will make it impossible for russians to defend themselves. Until now, Ukraine has had almost no means to destroy the bridge, but recently russia announced that it had allegedly shot down a Ukrainian S-200 missile in Crimea.
Ukraine has quite a few such missiles in its arsenal, but they are designed to shoot down air targets. However, until now, the Ukrainian army has not been able to use these weapons, at least according to Ukrainian officials. However, it seems that specialists have been able to modify these missiles to hit ground targets located at a distance of more than 300 kilometers. And if russian air defense really did shoot down an S-200 missile near Kerch, then very soon we will see the Crimean bridge finally fall, and with it the russian defense line in southern Ukraine.
We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! We support the Ukrainian Army! We are waiting for the Victory!
