It is better to buy a Green Card while in Ukraine, because it is much more profitable. The approximate cost of a Green Card in Ukraine for 1 year is approximately 200 euros, while an annual civil insurance policy in Poland will cost about 400 euros, and in Germany - from 900 euros.

Also, one of the main advantages of the Green Card is that the insurance is valid in any European country. Therefore, you can travel to many countries without additional costs.

You can extend the validity of the Green Card even while abroad, because now the policy is issued online. After payment, you will receive an electronic copy, which is as valid as a paper copy. The only thing is that it should be taken into account that the policy will become effective only 1 day after it is issued.

Can I buy a Green Card at the border?

In most cases, you can buy a Green Card at the border, but it is more convenient and cheaper to do it in advance by issuing and receiving the policy online.

When buying insurance before your trip, you can compare offers from several insurance agents to find the best price and coverage that will have additional benefits.

Also, if you issue a Green Card at the border, you can lose a lot of time. It is much more convenient to buy at home, preparing for a trip.
