In an incredibly unexpected turn of events, Germany was among the countries with the lowest life satisfaction, with a score of 6.5. This result allows it to get ahead of only Bulgaria, which became an outsider in the ranking with a total score of 5.6.  It is important to note that this is the only EU country that received less than 6 points in the overall life satisfaction index.

In compiling this ranking, Eurostat aimed to highlight trends in the subjective well-being of European residents. Experts noted that EU citizens, with an average score of 7.1 out of 10, were completely satisfied with their lives.
