Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14 every year. Most people associate this holiday with bouquets of flowers, chocolates and romantic dinners. However, the world has been actively changing in recent years, and Valentine's Day is no exception.

What trends in the celebration of February 14 are relevant in 2024? And in general, do Ukrainians celebrate this day? Let's find out together further.

From now on, Valentine's Day is not only a holiday for lovers

More and more people are thinking about the fact that February 14 cannot be exclusively a holiday of romantic relationships, because it is important not only to take care of your partner, but also to take care of yourself. That is why products for self-care and health are increasingly appearing on the holiday gift market.

Also, modern youth actively celebrate Valentine's Day together with friends. The latest polls say that 36% of Americans out of 2,000 respondents between the ages of 20 and 40 plan to spend February 14 at a themed party. It is interesting that most of the participants of the event will buy gifts for their friends.

So, together with loved ones, next to loved ones or alone - you can celebrate in different ways, because Valentine's Day is now everyone's holiday.

Galentine's Day is an alternative to Valentine's Day

Another interesting transformation of Valentine's Day is Galentine's Day. An alternative holiday to February 14 was invented by women. The name comes from the slang word "gal", which means "girl". February 13 is celebrated.

Girls dedicate this day to love and care for themselves, and also give care and attention to their friends. Organizations that actively fight for women's rights popularize Galentine's Day.
