As of the morning of March 6, the situation on the roads within the Odesa region is stable, and travel to Romania and Moldova is not difficult.

Traffic jams at Palanka

There are traffic jams from the regional center of Odesa region to the Palanka checkpoint. They are concentrated on three sections of the road:

— when leaving Odesa (marked in orange on Google Maps);

— near the village of Mayaki (marked in orange on Google Maps);

— near the Palanka checkpoint, which is located within the Lower Dniester Nature Park (marked in red on Google Maps).

The trip from Odesa to Palanca will take about 1 hour and 7 minutes.

Traffic jams to Orlivka

On the international highway M-15 (Odesa - Reni), traffic is also hampered on several sections of the road. In particular, significant congestion was recorded within the settlements: Saraty, Mykhailivka, Tatarbunary and Izmail. As a result, the journey to the border will take about 4 hours and 20 minutes.

Remember that to leave Ukraine in a car with Ukrainian registration, you must have a Green Card insurance policy. It is mandatory in 50 countries, including the EU. Without such insurance, the car will not be allowed to cross the border! In addition, the absence or delay of insurance is fraught not only with fines that are several dozen times the cost of the insurance policy for a year, but also with the seizure of the car and deportation from the country with a subsequent ban on entry. You can take out insurance for the required period on our website. Read more about the amount of fines in Europe for not having a Green Card here.

We remind you! A new shuttle bus will run between Ukraine and Moldova, connecting Odesa and the airport in Chisinau. Read how much the ticket will cost and the schedule in our previous article.
