In April, it will be exactly two years since Ukrainian troops liberated Kyiv region from the russian army. The enemy left ruins and mourning in the region after its departure, but did not break the spirit of the locals. We are telling you how many facilities have already been rebuilt and what are the plans for the near future.

We have restored 17,000 facilities in two years

According to Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, almost 17,000 facilities have been restored in the region. Of these, 15,422 are apartment blocks and private houses. 199 kindergartens and schools have been restored, as well as 112 medical facilities.

Here is one example of how a school in de-occupied Irpin was restored:

And this is how Vokzalnaya Street in Bucha was restored, where the occupiers sowed chaos and murder:

Also recently, five apartment buildings have been restored in Irpin and the village of Horenko of the Gostomel community. The facilities were restored with the help of the International Organisation for Migration.

By the way, we have previously told you what Irpin and Bucha look like today, which have become symbols of Ukrainian resistance and the barbarism of the russian military.

What needs to be restored?

There are still many facilities in the region that need to be restored. However, in the near future, the region's structural units will launch seven procedures. In particular, the authorities will procure services for the development of design and estimate documentation for the restoration of two multi-storey buildings in Irpin, as well as the construction of several private houses.
