Some Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic may lose protection by the end of March: what is known
The Czech Republic has become one of the countries that has accepted a significant number of Ukrainian refugees. However, some of them may lose their asylum by the end of March due to the expiration of temporary protection. Find out more about who is affected and how to apply for temporary protection in the Czech Republic
On March 15, registration for the extension of temporary protection for Ukrainians ended in the Czech Republic. Those who did not register online will lose their status after March 31, 2024. However, although it is possible to re-apply for protection, this does not mean its automatic renewal. This is stated on the website of the Czech Ministry of the Interior for Ukrainian refugees, Naši Ukrajinci.
Some Ukrainians in the Czech Republic may lose temporary protection: details
It is noted that if a person does not extend temporary protection during online registration, it will be valid only until March 31, 2024. After the expiration date, you can re-apply for it at one of the branches of the Regional Centers for Assistance to Ukraine (KACPU).
However, it is worth remembering that the grounds for granting temporary protection will be re-examined, just as in the case of the first application.
Important! Obtaining temporary protection in the past does not guarantee its re-granting. Also, the granting of temporary protection does not mean that you will receive state aid, such as health insurance, again.

Ukrainians wishing to apply for or extend temporary protection in the Czech Republic can apply to the Regional Centers for Assistance to Ukraine (KACPU) in 12 regions and the city of Prague.
For emergency accommodation, you can apply to the following locations in two cities:
• Ostrava, Dr. Malého 1356/17 (tel. +420 771 288 779);
