Which industries provided the most revenues to the state budget in the first 4 months of 2024?

In the context of a full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian economy is suffering unprecedented losses almost every day. Find out which industries have paid the most taxes in the first 4 months of this year, as well as where the largest increase in payments occurred compared to April last year

From January to April 2024, the largest contribution to the state budget, namely the share of taxes and fees paid to the consolidated budget, was provided by the financial and insurance industry. This was reported by the State Tax Service.

Which industries generated the most revenues to the state budget?


According to the published data, the following industries were the leaders in terms of the share of taxes paid by business entities


– financial and insurance activities (15.7%);

– wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (15.6%)

– manufacturing (14.2%);

– public administration and defense, compulsory social insurance (10.7%).

At the same time, the largest increase in payments for the period from January to April of this year, compared to the same period last year, occurred in the following industries


– financial and insurance activities - an increase of 8.7 times, which in recalculation amounts to +UAH 76.4 billion

– wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles - an increase of 25.4%, which in recalculation amounts to UAH 17.4 billion;

– processing industry - an increase of 18.1%, or +UAH 12 billion;

– transportation, warehousing, postal and courier activities - an increase of 40.3% or +UAH 9.8 billion.
