According to sports experts, the Ukrainian national football team is approaching the European Championships with one of the strongest squads in its history. A number of the Blue and Yellows players have shone in Europe this season and even won elite awards, both team and individual. We'll tell you which of the Blue and Yellows players are particularly worthy of the attention of rivals.

Andrii Lunin and Anatolii Trubin

We can say for sure that the Ukrainian national team has no problems in the goalkeeping line. Currently, Serhii Rebrov's team has two players who are rightly considered to be among the best goalkeepers in the world.

Andrii Lunin, Real Madrid's number one in the 2023/24 season, had a tremendous year with his team and helped the "cream" win Europe's top club trophy, the Champions League. According to the popular Score 90 rating, Lunin became the second best goalkeeper in the world at the end of the season, behind only the Champions League finalist Gregor Kobel.

Meanwhile, Benfica goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin, although the team failed to win any prestigious trophies this season, has become the most expensive goalkeeper in the world, according to the CIES Football Observatory, an international sports research centre. The centre estimated his value at 66 million euros. He shares the first place with the same Gregor Kobel.

Ilya Zabarnyi

Ukrainian defender and Bournemouth player Ilya Zabarnyi is a real discovery of the season in the English Premier League. The defender played absolutely all the matches for his team and was named the club's best player of the season by the fans.

By the way, according to the updated data of the Transfermarkt portal, Zabarnyi has become one of the most expensive Ukrainians playing in England. His current price is 32 million euros.

Gergiy Sudakov

The young talent of Shakhtar Donetsk has already won the hearts of Ukrainian fans and attracted the interest of top European clubs. The midfielder has attracted serious interest from a number of European giants, including Juventus, Arsenal, Chelsea and others.

Sudakov is known for his confident play in the midfield and is valued by the team as an excellent passer who can both pass and put the ball into the net. The Donetsk club estimates the player's value at around €70 million, which could potentially make him one of the most expensive players in Ukrainian football.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Although the London Arsenal defender, as he himself stated, did not have the best season of his career, he still remains a very important part of Rebrov's team.

Everyone knows Zinchenko for his unconventional play on the left wing and in the centre of the pitch. Particularly noteworthy are Oleksandr's sharp passes to the front of the pitch. With his technique and precision, he can create a goal-scoring opportunity at any time.

Currently, Zinchenko is the most expensive player among Ukrainian footballers. His value is estimated at 38 million euros according to Transfermarkt, a portal specialising in transfer policy.

Viktor Tsygankov

The king of the Ukrainian national team's right wing, Viktor Tsygankov, is a significant figure in the current squad of Spanish side Girona, which won the Spanish league bronze this season, losing out only to Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Tsygankov has played a key role in his club's very impressive performance. He has also attracted the interest of European football giants with his performance and is already in their sights.

At the same time, the player is one of the leaders of the Ukrainian national team and has high hopes for the upcoming Euro 2024.

Artem Dovbyk

The Ukraine striker is already a historical figure in the Spanish league. Last season, the Girona player became the league's top scorer, overtaking world stars such as Jude Bellingham and Robert Lewandowski in this list.

Dovbyk is also predicted to move to a top European club this transfer window. And for this player, Catalan Girona can demand tens of millions from potential buyers.

Mykhailo Mudryk

The Chelsea player and fan favourite of the Ukrainian national team is known for his outstanding speed. He has repeatedly proved that he is one of the fastest players in the English Premier League.

Although Mudryk did not have the brightest season with his team, he is expected to play a great game in the blue and yellow shirt at this Euro.

Today Mudryk is considered the most expensive player in the history of Ukraine. In 2023, the London team paid 70 million euros for him plus bonuses.

Overall, at the European Championships, the Ukrainian national team was among the top 10 most expensive teams in the tournament. The total sum of the national team players is estimated at 379 million euros.
