How many Ukrainians have started their own business in Estonia?

In almost 2 years, about 84 thousand euros have been provided to Ukrainian entrepreneurs, and 233 people have received entrepreneurship training through the local Unemployment Insurance Fund.

During the same time, 727 people were deregistered and became entrepreneurs. 14 people started their own businesses with financial support from the Unemployment Fund.

Earlier, we told you that Ukraine has upgraded its economic status to a country with higher-than-average income, according to the new World Bank classification.

The largest number of businesses was launched in the following areas:

1. Manufacturing;

2. Accommodation and food services;

3. Wholesale and retail trade;

4. Service activities, repair of cars and bicycles;

5. Information and communications;

6. Education and entertainment startups.

The situation is changing rapidly, as the interest of refugees from Ukraine in entrepreneurship is growing rapidly. At the beginning of the war, IDPs hoped for a quick return home. Unfortunately, the reality turned out to be different. Short-term work is no longer in such demand, so more and more refugees with a flair for entrepreneurship are planning to start their own business.
