Gepard Express plans to expand its network of rail routes to include new destinations in Ukraine and Lithuania via Poland. This was reported by rynek-kolejowy.pl. Find out when the first flight will take place and which cities will be included in the routes.

New routes from Gepard Express

Starting in December 2025, the Czech carrier Gepard Express plans to launch five new long-distance rail routes in Europe, four of which will pass through Poland. The new routes will include the following destinations:

📍 Prague (CZ) - Kharkiv (UA): Kolin, Pardubice, Ostrava, Bogumin, Auschwitz, Krakow, Dębica, Rzeszów, Przemyśl, Lviv, Kyiv.

📍 Prague (CZ) - Terespol (PL): Kolin, Pardubice, Ostrava, Bohumin, Tychy, Katowice, Warsaw, Minsk Mazowiecki, Siedlce, Biała Podlaska.

📍 Prague (CZ) - Vilnius (LT): Kolín, Pardubice, Ostrava, Bohumín, Tychy, Katowice, Warsaw, Wolomín, Malkinia, Białystok, Suwalki.

📍 Split (HR) - Vilnius (LT): Zagreb, Budapest, Bratislava, Godonin, Prazerov, Ostrava, Bogumin, Tychy, Katowice, Warsaw, Wolomin, Malkinja, Bialystok, Suwalki.

📍 Split (HR) - Berlin (DE): Zagreb, Budapest, Bratislava, Brno, Kutna Gora, Prague, Bad Schandau, Dresden.

Technical details of the new routes

The carrier plans to operate one pair of flights daily on each of the new routes, using trains with 4 to 12 cars, which will allow it to carry up to 600 passengers per flight. Gepard Express plans to use Siemens Vectron or Alstom TRAXX multi-system locomotives, but has not yet decided on a rolling stock supplier for such ambitious plans or possible contractors.

The beginning of test trips

Albert Fikacek, the owner of Gepard Express, said in a comment to Zdopravy.cz that test trips are scheduled to begin in August 2025 in cooperation with LTG Link, the Lithuanian state-owned carrier.
