Q: Where do Ukrzaliznytsia trains go abroad?

There are currently 6 European countries to which you can travel by train from Ukraine: Poland (Warsaw, Chełm, Przemysl), Slovakia (Kosice), Hungary (Budapest, Debrecen, Záhony), Moldova (Chisinau), Czech Republic (Prague), Austria (Vienna). In addition, with a change of train in Moldova at Ugen station you can get to Sokoly (Romania).

Q: How long can I return a train ticket?

The refund amount depends on the time when the ticket was handed in. Thus, if it is more than a day before the train departure: - more than a day, the full price of the ticket and reserved seat is refunded; - from 24 to 6 hours - the full ticket price and 50% of the reserved seat price; - less than 6 hours - only the full ticket price. If a person returns the ticket within an hour after the train departure, only 10% of the ticket price is refunded (you can return the ticket only at the station ticket office). Tickets are not refundable if more than an hour has passed since the train departure. The only exceptions are emergency cases, and to get a refund, you need to issue a special “claim ticket refund”.

Q: What happens to unredeemed tickets for the military?

Tickets booked but not purchased through the online service are returned to the system, after which they can be purchased by other passengers.

‘Ukrzaliznytsia is launching a Wi-Fi system on Intercity and Intercity+ high-speed trains running throughout Ukraine. We tell you on which trains the Internet will be available and whether it will be free.

Who will be able to access Wi-Fi?

All passengers of Ukrzaliznytsia travelling on trains of this type can access Wi-Fi.

Passengers just need to switch on WiFi on their device and select a network called WiFi test during the journey. After connecting to the network, the device will open the portal.uz.com.ua on-board portal page with basic travel information, an electronic menu and the ability to leave feedback about the trip.

During the trip, one user will receive 1 GB of traffic free of charge, and the Internet speed will be up to 10 Mbps.

Wi-Fi access will remain free of charge for passengers while the trial operation continues.

Which flights are equipped with Wi-Fi?

According to UZ, Wi-Fi will be available on all Intercity and Intercity+ trains. In Ukraine, these trains run between major cities. As for international flights, Intercity runs to Przemysl, Poland.
