For centuries, Ukrainians have been developing their country - its science, culture, art and sports. Unfortunately, the vicissitudes of history have thrown the nation into other countries, so many people do not even know that the first cinema camera was invented in Ukraine or the first Constitution was written down. And that's a shame! Visit Ukraine experts have compiled some incredible records of Ukraine on the world stage. Read the article to find out what Ukrainians were the first to do.

What inventions did Ukrainians make?

1. The first helicopter was invented by Ukrainian aircraft designer Ihor Sikorsky, who emigrated to the United States. Orders for Sikorsky's company came from the US Army and the US President's office. America used Sikorsky helicopters for more than half a century.

2. The first near-Earth satellite was designed and launched by Zhytomyr scientist Ivan Korolev. The first artificial satellite was launched in 1957.

3. The first cinema camera was invented by Yosyp Timchenko from Kharkiv two years before the Lumiere brothers did. However, the Ukrainian researcher did not attach much importance to this, as at the same time he was busy inventing in the fields of microsurgery, meteorology and astronomy.

We told youmore about the inventions of Ukrainians that are used all over the world earlier. Read the material by Visit Ukraine.
