As at the airport: security measures have been tightened at Kyiv Central Railway Station

Passenger and baggage inspection systems have been installed at Kyiv Railway Station. This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia. As explained in the company - it is meant to increase security.
The system works like at the airport: metal detectors, through which passengers must pass, and X-ray television introscopes for luggage inspection.
The control system at the Kyiv railway station became fully operational on June 9. Oleksandr Kamyshyn, Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia, said at the briefing that such increased control was introduced to detect potentially dangerous items: weapons, explosives, etc. According to Kamyshin, the check-up should be adjusted so that passengers can spend up to three minutes in the queue, and during peak hours the waiting time for the check-up should take up to 10 minutes. Cynologists with service dogs will also work at the station.
Ukrzaliznytsia plans to tighten security measures at other stations of cities with a population of millions.
