Some Ukrainians can receive more than UAH 10,000 in UN aid: what are the conditions?

Ukrainians from some regions will be able to receive financial assistance from the UN. Residents of Rivne and Cherkasy regions will be able to register. Find out how and who can apply.


According to UNHCR, the amount of assistance for one family member is UAH 10,800 for 3 months.


Who can receive financial assistance?


The following residents of Rivne and Cherkasy regions will be able to receive money from the UN


- internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have moved within the last 6 months;

- Ukrainians who have returned to the country after being forced to go abroad;

- citizens of Ukraine who returned to their permanent place of residence after temporary displacement to other regions of the country after 24 February 2022.


Potential recipients must meet certain criteria:


- a family with one parent who has one or more children under the age of 18, or lives together with people aged 55 and over;

- a family headed by a single elderly person aged 55 or older or an elderly person with one or more children under 18;

- a family with members with special needs, in particular with serious illnesses or disabilities.


In addition, individuals must have a monthly income of less than UAH 5,400 per person in the family. Also, such citizens should not have previously received support from UNHCR or other charitable organisations based on vulnerability criteria.

How to receive payments and what documents are required?


In order to apply for assistance, you must provide the originals of each household member


- Passport, ID card or other identification document;

- RNOKPP;

- IDP certificate (if available);

- bank card of the applicant (family representative);

- birth certificates of children (if available);

- a document certifying legal custody of the child (if available);

- a certificate or medical certificate in case of disability or chronic illness (if available).


All members of the household must be present to successfully submit the documents. If there are small children under 2 years of age or persons with reduced mobility in the household, registration can be carried out with the original documents and supporting health certificates or birth certificates.


Documents can be submitted to mobile teams at the following addresses:


- 21 November, Kostopil (Rivne Oblast), 15 Sarnenska Street, from 11:00 to 16:00;

- 21 November, Kaniv (Cherkasy region), 3 Zakhystnykiv Ukrayiny Street (city council building), from 10:00 to 14:00;

- 22 November, the town of Zvenyhorodka (Cherkasy region), 47 Ivan Soshenko Street, from 10:00 to 14:00;

- 22 November, Matusiv village (Cherkasy region), 7 Kravchenko Street, from 10:00 to 14:00.
