Where can I extend my card or apply for the status for the first time?

A Ukrainian who has already been granted temporary protection can apply for a new registration card at the territorial unit of the ATS under the Ministry of Internal Affairs or at the nearest regional offices of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

However, after 30 April, re-registration can only be carried out at the territorial unit of the ATS under the Ministry of Justice.

In order to register and re-register for temporary protection, you must appear in person at the institution. The procedure cannot be performed by an authorised person.

Those who arrive in the country for the first time and wish to obtain temporary protection can apply for registration either at the territorial unit of the ATS under the Council of Ministers or at the regional office of the Ministry of the Interior.

Based on the practice of previous years, documents can be submitted to the regional offices of the Ministry of the Interior or to the registration and reception centres in Sofia, the village of Banya and the town of Harmanli.
