Ukrainian driving licenses and vehicle registration certificate will be available in the Polish application mObywatel

Ukrainians in Poland can upload their driver's license and vehicle registration certificate to the mObywatel application. Therefore, citizens of Ukraine will receive electronic documents that will be valid on the territory of Poland.
The decision to recognize Ukrainian e-documents abroad was announced during a joint briefing by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, and the State Secretary for Digitalization of Poland, Janusz Cieszynski.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Poland has been actively supporting and helping Ukrainians. The cooperation we have now is a high standard of good neighborly relations. The launch of cross-state document sharing confirms this. For its part, the Ministry of Digital is ready to start work on the recognition of e-documents from mObywatel in Ukraine", - stated Mykhailo Fedorov.
The ability to upload documents from "Diia" to mObywatel is the embodiment of cross-state document sharing, and it is the first-of-its-kind initiative in the EU. This step not only shows the development of digital relations between Ukraine and Poland, but also emphasizes the international recognition of electronic documents from "Diia".
According to Janusz Ceszynski, the launch of the service will take place by the end of the year.
We will remind, that at the end of July "Diia pl", which can be connected in the mObywatel application, acquired the status of a digital residence permit. The electronic document can be used for identity verification, when crossing borders within the EU, staying in the Schengen area for 90 days and receiving other services.
The corresponding document can be obtained on the basis of PESEL (Polish identification number).
