How can Ukrainians get a study visa to Armenia?
Choosing an educational institution in Armenia and the language of instruction
Ukrainian citizens can choose to study at Armenian higher education institutions, vocational schools or secondary specialized institutions. Foreigners who do not speak Armenian or Russian must take a preparatory course (1 year) to learn the language and basic subjects.
What documents are required to obtain a study visa?
The list of documents to be prepared:
- An application form and an application addressed to the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Armenia indicating the chosen specialty.
- A notarized copy of the certificate of education.
- A medical report on the state of health and suitability for residence in Armenia.
- A notarized copy of the passport or birth certificate.
- Photos (6 pcs., size 4×5 cm).
- For postgraduate studies: an abstract, a list of scientific papers or an officially approved certificate of language proficiency (Armenian, Russian, English, etc.).

Documents are submitted through:
- Ministry of Education of Armenia.
- Embassy of the Republic of Armenia.
Educational requirements
For admission, you must have an education that corresponds to the secondary level of the Armenian school program. Those who have graduated from educational institutions abroad must provide a certificate of recognition of education in accordance with the Lisbon Convention.
Tuition for Ukrainians is paid
Ukrainians have to pay for education in Armenian institutions, except for cases when education is funded by the state (for Armenians from the diaspora).
