Les Carpates, la Transcarpathie, les routes gastronomiques et les lieux saisonniers — il y a des options pour tous les goûts et tous les formats. Découvrez les destinations printanières les plus intéressantes et les circuits tout compris pour 2026
Spring 2026 is a great time to plan a trip and escape the routine. The temperature is already comfortable, there are fewer tourists, and nature is just waking up. All that remains is to choose a destination.
Where to go in spring, what types of vacations are currently popular, and which ready-made tours are worth considering — we'll tell you more in this article.
Spring trips in Ukraine: the perfect time of year for traveling
Spring is traditionally considered one of the best seasons for travel. The heat has not yet arrived, but the weather already allows you to spend time outdoors, go to the mountains, and explore new locations. Prices during this period are often lower than in summer, and popular places are much less crowded.
Among all destinations for spring holidays in Ukraine, the Carpathians remain the undisputed leader. Mountains, clean air, thermal springs, seasonal blooms — all this attracts thousands of travelers every year. And ready-made tours allow you not to waste time on organization: accommodation, itinerary, transfers, and guide services are already included.
The Carpathians in spring — the main destination for recreation
The Carpathians in spring — fresh greenery on the slopes, clear mountain air, and dozens of opportunities for active recreation. Hiking, walks to waterfalls, visits to thermal springs — all this is available from March to the end of May.
It is in spring that crocuses and other primroses begin to bloom in the mountains, streams fill with meltwater, and waterfalls become especially full. There are significantly fewer tourists during this period than in summer or during the New Year holidays, so the routes are more comfortable and the locations are quieter.
The Carpathians remain one of the most popular destinations for spring tourism in Ukraine thanks to their combination of nature, culture, and active recreation. Here, in just a few days, you can climb to the top, visit an authentic cheese factory, and simply recharge your batteries in the silence of the mountains.

Ready-made tours to the Carpathians: options for every format
We have compiled a selection of tours for spring 2026 that will suit a variety of needs, from active hiking to a relaxing gastronomic vacation. Each tour has a ready-made program, support, and well-thought-out logistics.
Weekend tour: spring in the Carpathians
A three-day itinerary based in Yaremche — a compact option for those who want to recharge over the weekend. The three-day program covers several formats at once: sightseeing, active, and entertainment.
On the first day — a bus tour to the Carpathian waterfalls and Bukovel. The program includes the Carpathian Wildlife Park, the Trufanets waterfall in Transcarpathia, a cable car ride, a rodelbahn, and a walk near Lake Molodosti. The second day is a climb to Hoverla (2061 m), a full-fledged hiking tour with a return in the evening.
The third day includes a jeep tour to the mountain pasture and cheese factory, riding on a high swing, and the opportunity to try the Zip Line.
The tour includes accommodation, excursions, and a guide. Suitable for a short break without complicated planning.
Tour to the crocuses: seasonal magic of the Carpathians
The blooming of crocuses on the Kukul mountain pasture is a phenomenon that lasts only a few weeks a year, approximately in April. Emerald meadows are covered with purple flowers against the backdrop of the snow-capped Chornogora ridge — one of the best photo locations in the Carpathians in the spring.
The tour includes an easy one-day trek with the opportunity to see the mountain panorama, breathe in the fresh Carpathian air, and spend an active day in good company. The route is suitable for travelers with basic physical training. The main focus is on a unique seasonal experience that is only available during a short window in spring.
Gastro + ethno tour: cheese factory and eco-farm
An option for those who prefer a quiet vacation with an emphasis on local culture and cuisine. The route starts in Ivano-Frankivsk and passes through several authentic locations in the Carpathian region.
The first stop is Kosiv, the cradle of Hutsul folk art. Here you can see the famous Kosiv painted ceramics, which are included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Next is a walk to the Ternoshorska Lada rock complex through the ancient Carpathian forests. This place is known among travelers as a “place of power” with an interesting history related to Slavic mythology.
The gastronomic part includes a visit to a local cheese factory with a tasting of seven types of cow's cheese and a tour of the production facility. A separate item on the program is an eco-farm with goat cheese, where you can see the entire production process and interact with the animals. Finally, there are the Sheshorsky waterfalls of Velykyi Huk and Malyi Huk, a suspension bridge, and the opportunity to swim at a “secret” beach.
Excursion to Kolochava and the geyser
A full-day trip around Transcarpathia for those interested in unusual natural and cultural locations. The route passes through the picturesque serpentine passes of Volovets and Synevyr to the high-mountain village of Kolochava.
Kolochava is one of the most colorful villages in Transcarpathia, practically a village-museum. The program includes a sightseeing tour of the historic center, a museum of architecture and everyday life, as well as the only narrow-gauge railway museum in Ukraine with a working vintage steam locomotive and ten exhibition cars. A separate point on the route is a unique wooden church, built without a single nail, and a mountain bird park with two thousand exotic parrots.
After lunch in an authentic kolyba (shepherd's hut), we will travel to a high-mountain village, where a geyser is located on the bank of a mountain stream. Here you will also find a beekeeping farm with high-mountain honey, a healing mountain spring, and the longest bridge in the area (93 m).
Dragobrat and Svidovets Massif
This route is for lovers of mountains, panoramic views, and active recreation. The program includes an off-road trip through the Svidovets Massif, one of the least “trodden” mountain areas of the Carpathians.
Key points along the route include the Yablunetsky Pass, the Rock of Love, the Dragobrat ski resort, the Gereshaska and Vorozheska lakes, and the Peremychka Pass. The trip is conducted in a specially equipped bus, so it is suitable for all fitness levels. The main value of this tour is the opportunity to see the Carpathians from a perspective that is not available during regular hiking.
Why choose organized tours in Ukraine?
Planning a trip to the Carpathians on your own takes time: you need to find accommodation, plan your route, figure out the logistics, and take weather conditions into account. An organized tour takes care of these issues.
Most tours already include accommodation, transfers, an excursion program, and a guide who knows the area and can adapt the route to the circumstances. This is especially important in mountainous areas, where the weather changes quickly and some locations require experience and appropriate transportation.
This format saves time on preparation and allows you to focus on the vacation itself. For those traveling to the Carpathians for the first time, an organized tour is the easiest way to get the most out of the experience without unnecessary stress.
Spring is the best time to travel in Ukraine
Spring 2026 is a great time to travel. Comfortable weather, fewer tourists, seasonal natural phenomena — all this makes March-May the optimal window for recreation.
The Carpathians remain the top choice among Ukrainian destinations: a variety of formats, affordable prices, and ready-made infrastructure. Organized tours allow you to travel without lengthy preparation — just choose your destination and date.
Ready-made tours of Ukraine with itineraries, guides, and accommodation included are available on the Visit Ukraine portal.
