During the war, Ukrainians can receive medical care free of charge not only in communal, but also in private medical institutions. Namely, those that have signed contracts with the National Health Service of Ukraine. The amount of assistance that can be received there for free depends on the package signed by the institution.
Primary medical care is provided by 298 private and 674 non-profit doctors under a contract with the National Health Service. The entire list of primary medical care services is available to a patient who has chosen his doctor in a private institution. Read the list of these services here.
Specialized assistance is provided by 111 private institutions and 11 sole proprietors doctors. The largest number of private institutions that provide specialized assistance under the Medical Guarantee Program are in the Dnipropetrovsk Region - 19. There are 13 in Kyiv, and 9 in the Sumy Oblast.
Most contracts were signed by private institutions for the provision of priority outpatient services for the early detection of cancer. There are 55 such institutions in different regions of the country.
They will provide mammography, hysteroscopy, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy and bronchoscopy services.
Also, numerous private institutions have a contract with the NHSHU for medical care for children and adults in outpatient settings. Currently, there are 48 of them in the country.
Surgical operations are carried out by 12 private institutions under the contract with the NSHU. It is possible to perform an operation in a private institution under the Medical Guarantee Program in Dnipro, Kropyvnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi and Zaporizhzhia.
15 private institutions signed a contract for a new direction in this year's medical guarantee program - "Management of pregnancy in outpatient settings". Patients will be able to monitor their pregnancy in a private institution in Dnipro, Lviv, Shepetivka (Khmelnytskyi region), Ivano-Frankivsk and Lutsk. In 9 private institutions, patients will be able to receive hemodialysis services.
These are institutions in Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kyiv, Kharkiv and Lviv. 18 private medical facilities provide rehabilitation services for patients with damage to the nervous system and musculoskeletal system. These are institutions in Sumy, the village of Orlivshchyna and the city of Verkhnyodniprovsk in the Dnipropetrovsk region, in Odesa, in the village of Mygove in the Chernivtsi region, in Chernivtsi, Dnipro, and the village of Kulinichi in the Kharkiv region.
