Permanent residence permit
This document is issued once for life and does not require continuous renewal. Usually, you can get such a permit after you have lived in Turkey for three to eight years with a temporary permit. At the end of this term, a person has the right to submit documents for a permanent permit.
Temporary residence permit in Turkey is called Ikamet. It is issued for up to 5 years. When the temporary permit expires, it must be extended until a permanent residence permit is obtained.

• the need for family reunification – a person who is already a resident or citizen of Turkey can submit documents for reunification with close relatives (children, financially dependent parents, brothers and sisters, husband or wife).
• buying real estate in Turkey
• legal employment or opening a business
• study at a Turkish university

Citizenship of Turkey
Citizenship in Turkey can be obtained faster than a permanent residence permit. You can apply for citizenship after five years of legal residence on the territory of the state. But the applicant for Turkish citizenship will have to study the history of Turkey and the language. Second citizenship is allowed in Turkey, that is, a foreigner can keep a passport of another country even after receiving a Turkish document.
The fastest way to get Turkish citizenship is investment. In this case, the wait will last 6-8 months. Investments start at $400,000.
In both cases, both residency and citizenship require you to have a stable income to support yourself and your dependents, if any, have valid health insurance, not pose a threat to national security, and be law-abiding.
