Ukraine and Russia held the second round of negotiations. After the first unsuccessful meeting on the Pripyat on February 28, this time the parties have managed to agree at least on the joint provision of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians from most endangered cities. Humanitarian disaster continues to threaten a number of Ukrainian cities sieged by Russian occupants - among them Mariupol, Volnovakha, Kherson, Mykplaiv, Melitopol and others. Due to the permanent shelling of Russian troops, the civilian population has no safe access to water, food, communications and cannot leave their cities.

For the time of evacuation, the Russian side undertook to temporarily cease fire. The ceasefire is possible not everywhere, but only in those places where humanitarian corridors will be located. Also, it has been agreed to deliver medicines and food through the corridors.

According to Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, special communication channels and logistics procedures will be created in order to resolve the humanitarian crisis. However, following the results of the negotiations, Podolyak noted: "Unfortunately, we did not get the results we expected."

The third round of negotiations between representatives of Ukraine and Russia will take place in the near future.
