Ukrainians who are currently abroad can receive financial assistance from the Danish Refugee Council to start their own business. Learn more about how to apply and receive funds
The Danish Refugee Council, with the financial support of the governments of Switzerland and Great Britain, announced the provision of financial assistance to refugees from Ukraine to start, restore or expand their own micro-businesses.
What amount will be paid to Ukrainian entrepreneurs?
The corresponding program provides business grants in the amount of up to USD 1,050.
Money is transferred to a bank account.
Who can apply for financial aid?
Money for your own business can be received by:
- displaced persons living in the controlled territory of Ukraine;
- persons who are registered in settlements of territorial communities located in the area of hostilities and live in the unoccupied territories of the country.
In particular, the financial assistance program aims to make Ukrainian immigrants competitive in the labor market.
Criteria for selecting program participants:
• Viability and realism of the business idea, the applicant's understanding of its implementation scheme.
• The applicant has business experience.
• Relevance and balance of the budget of the business idea.
• Special preference will be given to families with social or financial vulnerability.
How to apply for the program?
You can apply on the organization's website.
Pay attention! Currently, applications for the relevant program are suspended, as those applications that were previously received are being processed.
You can find out about the resumption of DRC reception on the official Facebook page of the Danish Refugee Council.
In addition, filling out the application does not guarantee automatic participation in the program. Each application will be reviewed by the competition committee, which will select the best.
