Many Ukrainians have lost their personal documents. Learn more about how to recover lost documents with Diia in just a couple of clicks
Due to the outbreak of full-scale war, a large number of Ukrainians had to leave their homes. Due to moving and haste, many citizens lost their documents. However, from now on, it is possible to recover a lost document through the Diia state app. The step-by-step instructions and which documents can be restored through Diia are described below.
What documents can be recovered through Diia?
It is noted that with the help of the state application, in just a couple of clicks, Ukrainians will now be able to order the re-issuance of the following certificates and extracts:
● birth certificate;
● death certificate;
● certificate of change of name;
● marriage and divorce certificates.

Restoring documents via Diia: step-by-step instructions
1. Log in to the Diia portal;
2. Select "Services" - certificates and extracts;
3. Select the required document, indicating the reason for re-issuance and the person who needs to restore the document;
4. Choose the nearest place to receive the document;
5. Pay for the service.
Upon completion of the procedure, you must sign the application using Diya.Signature or another qualified electronic signature.
In a few days, the applicant will be able to pick up the restored document at the place specified earlier or at a Ukrposhta branch.
