How to get from Prague to Kyiv: features of buying and using a single ticket
Another Czech carrier has opened the sale of single tickets for passengers traveling from the Czech Republic to Ukraine. Find out how to travel to Kiev and other Ukrainian cities with a connection in Peremyshl by buying a single train ticket
It is possible to get from Prague to Kyiv and back by rail, but the train between the capitals requires a change of train in Przemysl, Poland. For the convenience of passengers, the Czech railway operator Ceske Drahy has introduced the sale of single tickets, which allows you to travel the entire route from the Czech Republic to Ukraine by purchasing just one ticket. It should be noted that the cost of a single ticket is cheaper than the cost of buying two separate tickets.
Earlier, the Czech company Regiojet also introduced single tickets from Prague to a number of Ukrainian cities. In particular, to Poltava, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and back.

Train Prague - Ukraine: which cities can I buy a single ticket to?
You can buy a single ticket only from the Czech Republic to Ukraine, on the return route passengers need to buy separate tickets (from Ukraine to the Polish city of Przemyśl and from Przemyśl to the desired city in the Czech Republic). Seats in 1st and 2nd class cars are available for passengers.
At the same time, a single ticket can be purchased to any city through which the train route runs. That is, from the cities of the Czech Republic through which the train travels (Prague, Pardubice, Olomouc, Ostrava, Bohumín) and to the cities of Ukraine (Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Vinnytsia, Kyiv).
How to buy a single ticket?
You can book a single ticket from the Czech Republic to Ukraine on the website of the carrier Ceske Drahy or through the special My Train application.
Please note! Ticket sales are not available less than three days before the train departure. That is, passengers need to book a ticket for the desired date in advance. In addition, the ticket must be printed before boarding the train.

Train from Czech Republic to Ukraine: prices for a single ticket
The final ticket price depends on the selected carriage class and the availability of additional services. This is how the price of a single ticket starts:
- from ~2000 UAH (~1280 CZK) from Prague to Lviv;
- from ~2240 UAH (~1430 CZK) from Prague to Ternopil;
- from ~2280 UAH (~1460 CZK) from Prague to Khmelnytskyi;
- from ~2440 UAH (~1550 crowns) from Prague to Vinnytsia;
- from ~2600 UAH (~1700 CZK) from Prague to Kyiv.
How do I make a transfer when buying a single train ticket?
Passengers only need to print out the purchased ticket before traveling. The transfer is carried out in the usual mode, i.e. in Przemysl, Poland, you will need to provide the printed ticket to the conductor.
It should be noted that the scheduled transfer time is 3 hours and 15 minutes, but even in case of a long delay of the train from the Czech Republic, Ukrainian Intercity will be waiting for passengers at the station in Poland.
