Details of the rating

Global Travel Trends analyst Dion Plana, commenting on the new ranking, noted that European passports, in particular those issued by the EU and Schengen countries, deservedly occupy a leading position. He noted the excellent travel opportunities provided by the passports of these regions, determining their undeniable strength.

According to the analyst, only nine passports are not European among the first forty positions in the index.

In general, the ranking, which includes 199 countries, reflects the level of freedom of movement of citizens of different countries, determining their chances of traveling without visas, with an electronic visa or without a passport at all.
