How ITB Berlin 2024 went: Visit Ukraine team's impressions and history of participation in the fair
In 2024, Visit Ukraine traditionally took part in the main exhibition in the tourism industry ITB Berlin 2024. Here is how the event went for Visit Ukraine and what impressions our team received from the event
From March 5 to 7, 2024, the main tourism exhibition ITB Berlin took place at the Berlin Exhibition Center. The Visit Ukraine team was also among the participants of the event. We talked about the purpose of our trip to the International Tourism Exchange Berlin here. Today we decided to share with you our impressions of the event.
Ukraine at ITB Berlin-2024
ITB Berlin is an event in which about 10,000 companies from 180 countries and regions of the world participate annually.
The exhibition is a great opportunity for the Visit Ukraine team to present Ukraine, first of all, to remind visitors about the difficult times that our country is currently living in and to demonstrate that even in such conditions, the Ukrainian tourism business is developing, creating new projects and looking for partners for their implementation.
In general, in 2024, the Ukrainian stand was represented by the State Tourism Development Agency, several cities (Kyiv, Chernivtsi, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Uzhhorod), as well as specialized associations.
How was ITB Berlin 2024 for the Visit Ukraine team?
As part of the International Tourism Exchange Berlin-2024, we were looking for new partners among travel companies and services for the promotion of travel to Ukraine. We also met with representatives of online travel services to discuss possible integration with our web resource. This year, Visit Ukraine plans to move from the status of an information portal to a service platform on which every user can order a travel service online, so such cooperation is extremely important for us.
Also, as part of the event, the Visit Ukraine team held a raffle of our branded merch. Participants representing projects from Poland and Italy became the lucky owners of T-shirts with Ukrainian symbols.

The history of the Visit Ukraine team's participation at ITB Berlin
The Visit Ukraine team has been actively participating in international exhibitions since 2018. In particular, we attended the ITB Asia events in Singapore, the World Travel Market in 2019 and many other events to present ourselves and Ukraine.
Also, we were to be presented at ITB Berlin in 2020, a large stand was already prepared for this event. But due to the coronavirus pandemic, ITB Berlin was canceled then, and in 2021 and 2022 the fair was held online.
In 2023, ITB Berlin was held for the first time after the pandemic and Visit Ukraine was then also among the participants to present services for safe travel in Ukraine and all related products: insurance, legal support, booking tickets, tours, hotels, etc. That is, everything that a person needs in order to comfortably plan his trip.
Considering that ITB Berlin is an important international event that shapes tourism trends for the coming year, we hope that our team will participate in this fair for many more years, and next year we will already be able to invite international guests to Ukraine as part of the exhibition. so that they learn more about the life of our state after the victory!
