Ukraine - Iceland: where to watch and when the match for a ticket to Euro 2024 starts
Today, on 26 March, the Ukrainian football team will play a decisive game for the 2024 European Championship, which will take place this summer in Germany. Find out what chances Serhii Rebrov's team have and why the game is expected to be difficult
The Ukrainian national football team will play a crucial match against Iceland today. It will decide whether the Ukrainians will go to Euro 2024 in Germany or not. We'll tell you what chances Serhii Rebrov's men have and what they need to prepare for in the match against Iceland.
Ukraine vs Iceland: where to watch and what time to watch
The match between the finalists of the Euro qualifiers will take place at 21:45 Kyiv time in Wroclaw. The Ukrainian team will formally host this match at home. It is expected that a sufficient number of fans from Ukraine will come to the stadium, which seats just over 45,000 people.
The match will be available on the MEGOGO platform (subscription required). The match will also be shown on Suspilne TV channel. The match will be available on T2 digital, cable and IPTV (except for OTT, which does not have the rights to broadcast the Euro 2024 qualifiers).
What are Ukraine's chances?
Given the uncertain performance of the Ukrainians in the previous match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukrainian fans are waiting for the match against Iceland with some anxiety, as this game is very important for both Ukraine and its northern rivals.
Speaking about the Icelandic team, they are a head and shoulders above the Bosnians. Firstly, Iceland's squad is younger, and secondly, everyone knows how unpredictable this team is and how much they love power football. Iceland's players will not just give the ball to the Ukrainians and will fight in all combat sports, so Rebrov should take a serious approach to the selection of players, especially in the centre of the pitch.
Iceland's previous game was against Israel. The Northerners showed a good game and confidently beat the opponent with a crushing score of 1-4. We can definitely say that the Icelanders will approach the game against Ukraine in a good mood and with a firm attitude.
Ukrainian fans are encouraged by the fact that it looks like the right winger of Spanish side Girona, Viktor Tsygankov, who missed the previous match against Bosnia due to injury, will return to the squad. The player has returned to training with the general group, but it is not yet clear how ready he is to take to the field from the first minutes.
Also, the blue-and-yellows seem to have clearly analysed the game and weighed up their mistakes after the game in Bosnia.
Bookmakers have a clear position - Ukraine is the favourite in this match. They estimate the victory of the Ukrainians with an average coefficient of 1.61, while the Icelanders are given 6.5.

Ukraine national team: forecast
Probably, Rebrov and his coaching staff will not "reinvent the wheel" and will release almost the same line-up as against Bosnia from the first minutes. However, there may be changes in the centre of the pitch.
Our prediction: Lunin, Konoplya, Zabarnyi, Matvienko, Mykolenko, Tsygankov, Zinchenko, Malinowski, Mudryk, Sudakov, Dovbyk.
There are doubts about Malinowski, although he showed a great, within limits, tough game after coming on as a substitute against the Bosnians. However, we shouldn't forget that Rebrov has a young Brazhko in his arsenal, who came on from the first minutes in Bosnia and showed calm and confident football.
Euro 2024 in Germany
The final part of the tournament will take place this summer and today, 26 March, the fate of the last three teams to go to Germany will be decided. The calendar of the Euro group stage is already available, and in case of today's victory, the national team of Ukraine will face a difficult group with Belgium, Slovakia and Romania.
We remind you! The Ukrainian national football team played a crucial match against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday, 21 March. The Ukrainians came into the game as favourites, but almost lost their chance to play at the European Championships.
