The 29 EUR Berlin Pass will be available for users of regional transport in Berlin. Find out more about which types of transport the ticket will be valid on and other details
Berlin has decided to reintroduce a 29-euro travel ticket starting July 1. This step will make it possible to use regional and high-speed trains, subways, trams and buses to the city's borders. This is reported by The Mayor.eu.
Travel pass for 29 euros will be available again in Berlin
The German capital will restore the 29 euro travel pass, which was previously available in 2022 but was later canceled. For those who travel infrequently, the Berlin Pass can be an alternative to the national Deutschlandticket, which costs 49 euros.

Where can I use the Berlin Pass?
This new ticket is valid on all regional trains, S-Bahn, subways, trams, and buses within fare zones A and B, i.e. up to the boundaries of Berlin.
In addition to online sales, tickets are now available at BVG customer service centers. They can be received as an e-ticket for a mobile phone or a plastic card.
Just like the Deutschlandticket, these tickets are personalized. Ticket holders can bring children under 6 years old or dogs with them at no extra charge.
An important innovation is that the 29 euro subscription will be valid on an annual basis, which means that users must sign up for 12 months, although they will be billed monthly.
According to a BerlinTrend survey, the return of the 29 euro travel card has a lot of support among the capital's residents. When asked whether they were right to introduce it, 60% of respondents said yes.
We remind you! This summer, €49 travel cards will be introduced in France. This new travel card will be available to a wide range of passengers. It is planned that this ticket will allow traveling without restrictions within the country, providing access to different cities and regions.
