The best festivals of this summer: top events you should definitely attend
This year's summer in Ukraine promises to be hot: the return of Atlas and a bunch of other different festivals are waiting for their guests. Find out where to spend this summer in a fun and unusual way
The summer season is a great time not only for holidays on the beach or at recreation centres, but also for various festivals, where people come to enjoy the atmosphere and meet like-minded people. We've gathered the top festivals in Ukraine that will take place this summer.
Atlas United
The long-awaited Atlas Weekend music festival returns in a new format. The event will take place on 12-14 July at the Blockbuster Mall in Kyiv (36 Stepan Bandera Avenue).
The festival will be held under the new name Atlas United. It will bring together performances by more than 70 Ukrainian artists: "Boombox, Artem Pivovarov, Zhadan & Sobaki, Bez Obmezheniy, Dantes, Kurgan & Agregat, Druha Rika, Latexfauna and Verka Serduchka.
The event will also feature a stand-up performance. The festival aims to raise at least UAH 100 million to support the Defence Forces.
Entrance fee starts from UAH 1400.
Faine Misto
Another music festival is Faine Misto: Land of Future Legends will be held in Lviv. This event is more suitable for fans of energetic music. Kurgan & Agregat band will be among the participants.
The festival will take place from 2 to 4 August at !FESTrepublic. The ticket price starts from 600 UAH.
Odesa International Film Festival
This year, the organisers of the Odesa International Film Festival will bring it to Kyiv, where a big event for film lovers is expected. The event will take place from 12 to 20 July at the Parkovy Exhibition Centre and the Oscar Cinema and Film House.
The accreditation fee is 1900 UAH. Applications are accepted until 12 July.

We have great news for Harry Potter fans. On 27 June, the creators of the Al Mor fantasy festival will hold a bright event. As part of the festival, which will last one day, everyone will be able to take part in a special event.

The event will be held for fans of all ages in Kyiv at Signal Event Hall (97 Zhylianska St., Kyiv). Entrance fee: 300 UAH.

Courage
This summer, Kurazh is planning to hold three charity events, and the first of them, the 60th anniversary event, will take place on 8-9 June. The main theme of the event is "combining Ukrainian modernity with Ukrainian tradition".
The organisers are bringing back a celebrity flea market where artists, designers, actors and influencers will sell their wares for donations. All profits from the charity festival will be donated to the Come Back Alive Foundation. The event aims to raise UAH 3 million.
The event will take place from 8 to 9 July in Kyiv, at the GARAGE location (82 Mezhyhirska Street). The price starts from UAH 300.
Street food: Tastes of the world
On 13 and 14 July, the festival "Street Food: Tastes of the World" festival will take place in Kyiv on 13 and 14 July. This event promises to be a real treat for gourmets and all lovers of new taste experiences. The festival will feature street food from around the world.
At the festival, visitors will be able to taste a wide variety of dishes from around the world. From traditional Italian pizza or ice cream to exotic Thai soups and Indian curries. Everyone will find something to their liking. More than 50 unique establishments are responsible for the taste journey.
The event will take place at the Platforma Art Factory (1a Yakova Hnizdovskoho St.). Entrance fee: 250 UAH.
War in the Lens Documentary Festival
The documentary festival will take place in Kyiv and will be dedicated to documentary films and journalistic materials about the national resistance of Ukrainians. The festival is organised and hosted by the military personnel of the Territorial Defence Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The festival programme includes the premieres of the documentaries Shields of Kyiv and Journalist in Uniform. The audience will watch a film by Andriy Rizol from the documentary series Culture vs War and a feature film by Akhtem Seitablaev Cyborgs. There will also be an award ceremony for the best journalistic materials.
The festival is scheduled to take place at the Ukrainian House in Kyiv (2 Khreshchatyk Street). Admission is free, but you need to register in advance.
