Starting from 00:00 on September 23, 2024, a new model of passes for moving vehicles during the curfew will be introduced in Kyiv. As reported on the official website of the Kyiv City Council, citing a statement by Mykola Povoroznyk, First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, this update is necessary to ensure that only those persons who are officially entitled to use the passes, such as employees of the security, defense, critical infrastructure of the city and government agencies, use them.

Mykola Povoroznyk also explained that periodic renewal of the passes increases their efficiency and security. And then he reminded that the curfew in the capital lasts from 00:00 to 05:00, and urged citizens to comply with these requirements responsibly.

How do I get a new or restore a lost pass in Kyiv?

Applications for new permits must be submitted to the Central Department of the Military Law Enforcement Service or to the authority where the permit was previously issued. The application must clearly justify the need to move the vehicle during the curfew. This is important to avoid abuse and misuse of the passes.

If a permit is lost, the issuing authority must be immediately notified to avoid illegal use. After receiving new passes, the old ones must be returned. The heads of the issuing organizations are responsible for the accounting, storage and use of passes.

How to use the passes correctly?

The Kyiv City Council website reminds that passes should not be placed in visible places, such as the windshield of a car. They should be presented only at the request of law enforcement agencies or other authorized persons. This helps to ensure control over the use of passes and maintain order in the city during the curfew.

Compliance with these rules is an important condition for maintaining security in the capital under martial law.

We remind you! In 2024, Ukraine, and the Carpathians in particular, will be banned from visiting certain peaks and routes due to security measures. Read which mountains can be visited and which remain closed to tourists, and how to get a permit to enter the border zone in our previous article.
