Changes in the operation of checkpoints on the border with Moldova: what drivers should know
Table of contents
There will be temporary changes in the operation of checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border due to technical works. Find out about the new schedule, alternative border crossing routes and the necessary documents for traveling to Moldova by car
Traveling to Moldova by car is one of the most convenient ways to cross the border. The main highways between the two countries are in good condition, although some sections may be undergoing repair work. For now, drivers should take into account temporary changes in the operation of some checkpoints to plan their trip more efficiently. More details about the changes, alternative routes and border crossing rules are provided below.
Temporary suspension of the operation of the Rososhany-Brychen checkpoint
On November 2, 2024, the Rososhany-Briceni checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border will temporarily suspend its operation. According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, customs control of citizens and vehicle clearance will not be carried out from 09:00 to 21:00.
The reason for the suspension of the checkpoint's operation is the planned work on the power supply network, as reported by the Service for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure in Chernivtsi region.
Continued repairs at the border bridge
In addition, it should be noted that repairs to the border bridge across the Dniester River at the Mohyliv-Podilskyi - Otach checkpoint continue. The work period has been extended by 14 days - approximately until November 4. During this period, traffic may be partially restricted.
