On December 1, the residence of St. Nicholas, located in the Great Lavra Bell Tower on the territory of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, was opened in Kyiv. Visitors will find a festive atmosphere, various activities, exhibitions, and master classes. This was reported by the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve on its Facebook page.


What does the residence offer?


At the residence of St. Nicholas, everyone will be able to


• write a letter to the holy wonderworker;

• visit the Arch of Wishes to make their most cherished dreams;

• meet St. Nicholas in person and take a memorable photo;

• see the festive exhibition “Unity of Christmas of Generations”.


The exhibition features works by Ukrainian artists from the Art Fine Nation community, students of the Mykhailo Boychuk Kyiv State Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design, as well as original works by the Association of Patchwork Masters of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Association of Handmade Creativity.


Work schedule


The residence will be open from December 1 to 25, every Saturday and Sunday, as well as on holidays:


• December 5, 6 and 19 from 12:00 to 16:00.


In addition, master classes organized by the Department of Culture of the Bakhmut City Council and the Bakhmut People's House are planned to be held on December 14, 15, 19 and 21 according to a special schedule.


The festive exhibition will run until January 15, 2025, so you can enjoy the Christmas atmosphere even after the main events are over.

Due to the security situation, the Great Lavra Bell Tower will function as a shelter during air raids.


Festive mood despite the war


The organizers urge everyone to make their most cherished wishes for Ukraine's victory and thank our defenders for the opportunity to give children and adults a sense of celebration even in difficult times.
