It is part of the defense system of the city of Kamyanets, the former capital of the Podolsk principality, which is part of the National Historical and Architectural Reserve "Kamyanets" - one of the "Seven Wonders of Ukraine".

Bakota.
In Bakota you will see the oldest male monastery in Transnistria. No wonder it is the oldest monastery, because in Bakota, on a high 120-meter white rock in the XI century, it was created, most of whose premises were in caves. The tour of the monastery is conducted by Taras Gorbnyak, a native of the flooded village of Bakota. He has been researching the history of this area for many years and also tells it to the whole world. The stories of how peasants had to destroy their own houses, cut down trees in their gardens and leave their families are simply staggering. The area to be flooded was completely cleared, and online stories about the church's dome visible from the water were nothing more than fiction, and even cemeteries were moved. It used to be a tragedy for thousands of people, but now it is a place where you feel peace in body and soul.
