Mykolaiv Cathedral

This unique building was built on the model of the Romanian Assumption Cathedral. The peculiarity of the cathedral is the unusual structure of its domes - they are literally twisted. Because of it, the Mykolaiv cathedral is called "Drunk church".

Residence of the Metropolitans of Bukovina and Dalmatia

The best Viennese, Czech and Bukovinian masters worked on the architectural masterpiece - the residence of the metropolitans of Bukovina and Dalmatia. Today, the former residence is used as the main building of Chernivtsi National University and often appears in films.

Turkish Well Square

Today this area is called Sq. Of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This place has existed for several centuries since the Ottoman Empire. The oldest well in Bukovina is on the square, it was built by the Turks. A legend about the undivided love of a Turkish Pasha for a Ukrainian girl is connected with the well.

Ship house

The unusually shaped house is located at the intersection of Main and Sholom Aleichem streets. To this day, locals call it "Schiff", which means "ship" in German. The ship house is one of the first houses built in the late 19th century, and its appearance resembles a real sea ship
